Ahhhh, This weekend is Labor day (3 day) weekend, and
I gratefully have no engagements or obligations to fulfill. (Whew, Thank God) I
have been loving all the faire time, mountain retreats, BBQs and such, but this
weekend of absolutely nothing to do will be bliss. Well, I will go out Friday
and have a night of many Buffalo wings and Beer, but that's all! Then I shall
retreat to the couch, and had I a catheter, I wouldn't get up at all. Well I
hope all of you have a great Labor day weekend, whether you do everything or
nothing. Huzzah!!!
Although there is only about 3 or 4 more vocal
tracks, and I only foresee one redo for a guitar track before doing my
re-mastering, I have taken a break from the audio and have been playing around
with the CD's album cover. Which (with no hints to what it is) is priceless!!!
(: As soon as the re-mastering is done and I complete the art (which doesn't
take long for me) I'll be ready to send it off for printing. I'm not sure how
long the above chores will actually take, nor when I will get the manufactured
goods after that, but I can smell Blackwolf the Bard's CD is on the near horizon. With the help of
Mistress Bawd and others, I have a more precise plan, and will be doing this all
independently probably through CDbaby.com Again, I have no illusions of
grandeur, I just would be happy if my music can produce enough funds to pay for
a fair or two each year. Yeh, a little notoriety couldn't hurt either. It would
be better than infamy (;
Ahhhh yes, to my drunken embarrassment, I have
landed on Youtube. Yes my friends, pie-eyed and puffy faced here is your chance
to see your favorite artist Blackwolf the Bard intrepidly try to pull
off singing one of his songs ( Size of Love) whilst
considerably under the influence. Now certainly any other
musician trying to make a name for him/herself would quietly slip this under the
rug and hope that no one would ever find it, but horrible moments are my best
values. But I digress. Back to
this video you are about to see.Yes of course this is a
hideously flawed performance, and probably should not be posted in the fear of
scaring away what little fans I have, but never the less, tis my first time
captured on Youtube, so thus I can not deny this memorial event it's deserving
spotlight. So I can only hope that you find some amusement in this unpolished
stool of a performance. And I assure you, my next capture I will try (but not
promise) to be more entertaining and less drunk. (yeah right) Anon
Yes, tis true I Blackwolf the Bard have survived yet
another fair, as I stealthily slipped through my opposition. The fair was very
entertaining. The weather was splendid, the patrons we're pleasant, and I do believe this was an all time record for being asked to be in a photo with someone (Literally about 70 times) Sheeesh! Who am I kiddin, I'm a ham for the cameras. (: And although
we were warned for singing my chanteys, twasn't in a Nazi matter as experienced
at other fairs, and we weren't asked to leave which is always a plus. I try to
sing my songs merely in shadowed quiet places away from the open eye of fair
personnel, but when asked by someone to play a tune, I find it hard to say no.
And aside from the Fair Law, my chanteys make everyone smile. Sometimes I feel
like Kevin Bacon in Footloose who was only trying to dance. I'm sure there are
fairs out there that will welcome my free entertainment. So my quest continues.
But note to all, NYRF was an enjoyable experience this past weekend, and their
selection of beverages have grown increasingly since my last visits in the early
nineties. Huzzah to them, and all whom attended. I will now go and post what
little photos I have from this quest.
Well I'm off to the NYRF once again. Tis a smaller mob than anticipated, but to be expected. None ever seem as dedicated as myself to the fair. What is important is my 3 best friends will be there: My sword, my ale, and my instrument. (: ( :
